Election in Sudan
We the Sudanese people are
living in hell between the political Islam and the Army Generals who have been
in power for more than 25 years.
I feel we don’t deserve that because we are kind, loving and educated people. We have also been known among the rich gulf countries where millions of us work there as honest and trustworthy.

Most conflicts in the world
have been solved by the International community through the UN except the
conflict in Darfur which began in 2003, and left thousands of dead
families and many other thousands displaced in neighboring Chad and Central
Africa. The rape of 200 women by the government forces in the village of Tabit
is another sham added to international community.
Now the government is
preparing for a new election next April so as to legalize its aggression. By supporting the last election in 2010, the
international community become responsible for every crime happened in Sudan
since then. That includes also the
detention of civil opposition leaders in Khartoum, closure of 14 newspapers and
hardship against students in universities across the country.
In his interview with the
Guardian news paper published in 25 Feb. 2015, the Darfuri rebel leader Mr
Minnawi said that the coming election is ‘Propaganda’. He also urged ‘Omar al-Bashir should
not be recognized as the legitimate head of state by the international
community’.
Arhal or (Leave) is a new
campaign against the election adopted by the people of Sudan and the opposition. It encourages people to boycott the election.
Unfortunately, the USA government has sent one of its politicians to open
dialogue with Khartoum government few days ago. The government has took this
opportunity and tried to convince people that the West is backing them in the election
and started to sell this idea to the public.
We urge the international community
and the Western countries to understand the misery our people will face if Mr
Albashir and his regime continue to rule the country through election for the
coming five years. If you want to stop the genocide and rape in Darfur and help Sudanese people not to be radicalized by this regime, please support our
people by standing firmly against this election. Otherwise, Sudan will continue to be in war
and our people in Darfur will face more killing and rape and our country will
become a fertile soil for political Islam.
